FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
How does a custom PC order work?
Pick a part for each step in the builder and place your order. You are not charged yet. We confirm every part is in stock, then email you a secure payment link. Once you pay, we assemble, test, and ship your PC.
How do you make sure my parts work together?
The builder checks as you go: the processor socket must match the motherboard, memory must match the board's type, the board must fit the case, and the power supply must cover the build with headroom. Parts that do not fit are greyed out with the reason. A technician checks the build again before we send the payment link.
What does assembly include?
Full assembly with tidy cable management, the latest BIOS where needed, memory set to its rated speed, drivers installed if you add an operating system, and a stress test of the processor, graphics card, and memory before the PC is boxed.
How long until my PC ships?
Most builds ship 3–5 business days after payment, depending on part availability. Shipping is insured, and you can follow every step from your account: paid, assembling, testing, shipped, delivered.
Can I add Windows or ask for something specific?
Yes. Use the notes box on the review step for Windows, extra fans, RGB preferences, or anything else. We include any added cost in the payment link, so you see the final price before you pay.
What is SurpriseSell?
SurpriseSell builds custom PCs to order and sells curated surprise boxes. For a PC, you pick every part and we assemble, test, and ship it. For a surprise box, you choose a category, a budget, and a few preferences, and we pack products from that lane.
What can be inside a surprise box?
Items that fit the category you picked: tech accessories, gaming extras, beauty, collectibles, home pieces, gifts, or kids' items for ages 4 and up. Each box lists the kinds of products that can be included. It does not list the exact objects.
Can I choose exactly what goes in a surprise box?
No. The curation is the product. You steer it with a category, a budget, interests, and exclusions. If you want to pick every part yourself, use the custom PC builder.
How are surprises selected?
A matcher looks at your category, budget, interests, exclusions, what is in stock, what you have received before, product cost, and shipping weight. A person can still change the box before it ships.
Can I avoid certain products?
Yes. On the personalize step, mark anything you do not want. Those interests are left out when the box is built.
When will my surprise box arrive?
After payment, we prepare the box and hand it to a carrier. Standard shipping is usually 5–8 business days in the United States. Express is usually 2–3. You can follow every status from confirmed to delivered.
What happens if something arrives damaged?
Email hello@surprisesell.com within 7 days with your order number and photos. We replace the damaged piece or refund that part of the order.
Can I return an order?
An unopened box can be returned within 14 days of delivery. Opened surprises are final except for damage, because opening them is the point of the purchase. Daily deals follow the same damage rule and can be returned unopened within 14 days.
Do you ship internationally?
Not yet. SurpriseSell currently ships to addresses in the United States.
